Abstract

The quantity of accessible information on the web continues to grow rapidly and has exceeded human processing capabilities. The sheer amount of the information increases the complexity for users from discovering desired information. Recommendation systems have become a valuable resource for users seeking intelligent ways to search through enormous volume of information available to them. Web logs are important information repository which records users activates on search results. The mining of these logs can improve the performance of search engines, since user has a specific goal when searching for information. In this paper, a survey is provided on the different recommendation techniques with their advantage and drawbacks. A brief comparison of different personalisation techniques based on certain parameters is done.

Abstract

Objectives This paper proposes a control methodology of bidirectional Converter for grid connected systems. Methods/ Statistical Analysis: The bidirectional converter is used for converting the DC-AC power by using decoupled current control strategy in stationary reference frame. The simulations of the proposed system are carried out in PSIM software. An experimental prototype of Bidirectional converter has been built in the laboratory. A TMS320F28335 digital signal processor (DSP) is used for generating the control pulses for the Converter. Findings: The control of grid converter along with battery backup would provide support to the grid. Thus the proposed control strategy could independently control active and reactive power and also able to avoid grid failures. Application/Improvements: Reduction of operating switching frequency, improved dynamics as well as robustness against grid impedance variation are some of the improvements of proposed system.

Abstract

A simple, specific and precise HPTLC method was developed and validated for estimation of aceclofenac in photodegraded sample. The method involves separation of sample and photodegradation product on TLC aluminum sheets pre-coated with silica gel 60 F₂₅₄ plate using a mixture of Toluene:Ethyl acetate:Glacial acetic acid:Methanol (6.00:1.00:0.20:0.15 v/v/v/v) as the mobile phase. Detection of the spot was carried out at 284 nm in absorbance/reflectance mode. The retardation factor (R_f) for aceclofenac was found to be 0.35±0.03. The linearity range was found to be 50-150 ng/spot with r²=0.9931. The validated method was applied for determination of photodegradation kinetic study. Photodegradation reaction at various experimental conditions follows zero order kinetic and rate constant (K) was determined to be 0.4855 ng μl^-1 min^-1. T_1/2 and T_90% was found to be 116.78 min^-1 and 23.35 min^-1 respectively.
